Heidi has been involved in swimming since the age of six at every level. Her experience includes her own swimming career being a high school all-state swimmer, collegiate all-american, and a professional triathlete. Her coaching experience includes head coach for 10 years at St. Paul Academy/Highland Park high schools, assistant coach at Burnsville High School boys and girls teams, St. Cloud Swim Club, Star Swim Club, and Masters swimming.
Teri swam competitively for 16 years with the Richfield Swim Club, St Louis Park and Burnsville. She swam in high school for Burnsville, Minneapolis South West, and also swam in college for Mankato State University for 2 years. Teri had coached the developmental team and recently worked with the age group and senior team with BAC.
Matt Crees began swimming
when he was thirteen years old on Team Foxjet. He swam for the
Chaska High School team his sophomore and senior years and was All
American senior year. Matt currently goes to the University of
Minnesota where he swam for his first two years but is now focusing
his energy on school full time. He swam at the national level for
many years it taught him a lot about the sport and what you need to
do to reach the highest levels. Matt says most of his swimming
knowledge has come from the coaches he has swum for and also from
training with some of the top swimmers in the sport. As far as
coaching experience goes, he has coached at the University of
Minnesota swim camp for two years and is also coaching for the
Chaska High School boys and girls teams this year. Swimming, as a
sport, is one of his biggest passions and he is always trying to
learn new things about the sport.
Kristie has been swimming since the age of three. At age 11 she joined West Express and swam competitively through her high school years. She swam on the Chaska High School Swim Team for six years; ending her swimming career after an injury her senior year. Kristi taught swimming lessons for eight years and helped coach the Chaska Special Olympics Swim Team for two years. After graduating from South Dakota State University she joined the West Express coaching staff in 2010 where she has focused on the development of the younger swimmers within age group. Her effort has had a tremendous impact on a large number of swimmers leading to multiple state championship qualifiers.
Kate started her swim career swimming for West Express from the age of eight till she was nineteen. Kate also swam competitively through her high school where she swam on the Chaska High School Swim Team for six years. After high school Kate went on to swim for Northern Michigan University swimming on their highly competitive conference team. Kate began her coaching career with Wisconsin’s Eau Claire Marlins. After moving back to Minnesota she then coached for the Waconia Swim Club and now for WEST Express.
